Finca Pereila

Coín, Andalucia

Come to enjoy our slice of heaven on earth!

Our ‘paradise on earth’ is a quiet and beautiful place in a green valley where you hear birds and the refreshing sound of the stream Pereilas.

David offers Hatha yoga classes and Birgit is an art teacher and will be happy to help you discovering your creative skills! We offer only homemade vegan food and you can order breakfast or/and dinner, preferably in advance.

We also have a fridge with freezing department and a fully equipped outside kitchen behind the bar for guests. You can cook in the middle of nature with your beloved one(s) and/or new friends sitting at the bar with a wine. How cool is that?!
As we are both teachers that live here as well and a friend that is professional massager comes on site, it is possible to organise a little tailor made retreat or a workshop.

An escape from the hectic everyday life

After an adventurous path that crosses an old bridge you will arrive in the valley under the ‘ermita’ (chapel) where our finca is located, an oasis of peace with orange, lemon and avocado trees.

Away from the crowds and an escape from the hectic everyday life.

Guests have their own entrance through an old authentic door to the studio / yoga / communal space, where both guest rooms are adjacent.
The house has got a lovely covered terrace, where there is always a breeze and with 2 tastefully decorated, large guest rooms, ‘Tierra’ and ‘Agua’, with their own bathroom ensuite and a wooden house, ‘Casita Botánica’ with it’s own little terrace and a private bathroom in front of the house. We have got room for 6 people and we can add max 2 folding beds (for kids).
On the grounds there are seats, sunbeds and hammocks where you can relax, read and of course guests can use the large refreshing swimming pool!

The ever flowing stream ‘Pereilas’ runs along the site, the finca has it’s own entrance by old stairs and you can walk through the stream, which is really nice and refreshing.

In addition to our house dog Lilly, a straycat that stayed Cleo and the 2 Vietnamese pigs George & Mildred you can find all kinds of wild animals here, such as newts, many bird species, frogs and sometimes even badgers and foxes.
We live in the finca, but have our private spaces. We expect guests to respect our privacy, such as that we also respect guests’ privacy. But we are always approachable for questions or to solve emergencies.
It is an intimate accommodation with just max space for 6 guests so there’s a lot of personal attention and often we become friends with guests.
We enjoy meeting people from all countries and cultures and also chatting with guests, but we give our guests their space to enjoy the peace of this place!

Surroundings

The guesthouse is located just outside the village of Coín in a green valley in a picturesque mountainous area.

Above the finca you find the ‘ermita’, a chapel, where the ‘romería’ takes place every May until the beginning of June.

A romería is a pilgrimage, in which beautiful traditional costumes, such as the typical flamenco dresses, with horses and decorated carriages, are taken to a place of pilgrimage and there are parties with flamenco, food, drink, flamenco music and dancing.
Coín is an authentic Andalusian town, where you can find several cafes, restaurants and shops and from the guesthouse it is a nice walk of about 30 minutes to the center.

On Sunday mornings there is a nice market with regional products, such as vegetables, fruit, olives, cheeses, but also clothing and other items. There are many beautiful walking trails in the area, Mijas and Monda are beautiful white villages to visit and the Costa del Sol, including the iconic Marbella and the luxury marina Puerto Banus and several beautiful beaches, is only a 30 minute drive away.

The cultural city of Málaga is about 40 minutes away and don’t forget the beautiful mountain town of Ronda, with the famous bridge over a deep gorge, about 1 hour and 15 minutes from our guesthouse. The road to Ronda, through beautiful mountain landscapes, is also spectacular!

There are many sights and activities within reach, but the great thing about our place is that you can always return to the oasis of peace and you do not have to leave to enjoy!
We advise guests to rent a car, as this is the easiest and fastest means of transport to visit us, but also other places. If you don’t want to rent a car, there is a bus stop in Coín, where we can pick you up for a small fee. Buses go to Málaga and places in the area and we can organise a taxi that knows the finca and drives you to the accommodation.

Along the coast, from Málaga center and the airport, to Fuengirola (coast) there is a train that leaves every half hour.
