The first vegetarian hotel in Engadine
Chesa Pool is the first and only vegetarian hotel in the Engadine. This step is logical, this step is courageous and it is above all one thing: a culinary treat in a class of its own, a feast for all the senses.
On the menu you will find plates like cheese souffle with nut lettuce or red oak leaf and fine zucchini chips, white chicory in orange sauce with orange fillets, but also classics like Pizzoccheri Valtellinese or vegan dishes like a large mushroom with cashew-basil cream served with nut lettuce or red oak leaf.
Vacations in Val Fex
Val Fex is car-free and reserved only for nature and its guests. However, we have a hotel shuttle and are happy to pick up our guests in Sils Maria. Alternatively, it is possible to reach Chesa Pool after a pleasant 20 minute walk or by horse-drawn carriage from Sils.
It is said that the Fex valley is the most beautiful side valley in the Engadine and those who know it, know that this is true. The Fex belongs to Sils Maria, a famous village with a lot of history thanks to prominent guests like Nietzsche, Proust, Hesse and Thomas Mann. It is a magical place with perfect nature, wild mountain streams, silver light and powerful granite. In summer the surrounding area invites to hiking and biking, in winter to cross-country skiing and skiing.
History
The Chesa Pool was built in 1585 and you can feel this history. Its 19 rooms of a special kind offer a place to dream, from the historic suite to the comfortable double rooms. All rooms have a desk and TV, some have balcony or terrace and double beds with separate mattresses or separate single beds.
