B&B Mia Majon

Mia Majon is an intimate mountain house among quiet fields in Canazei, a little town in the western Dolomites in Italy.
A residence of art and history, it was built in 1970 by grandma Tiziana and grandpa Reinhold – an untiring host and a sensitive woodcarver and artist. It’s a dear family house that’s also been a B&B for many decades, metamorphosing constantly into a project where hospitality is just one shade of its essence.
A retreat to rest, connect and resist, Mia Majon advocates for a different and more aware tourism and their work grows and extends far beyond their house walls and to local community activism.

Healthy home-cooked breakfast

Eight rooms with three different types of accommodation, where you find soft breath and warming shelter. A completely home-cooked and slow breakfast – experienced at the table and on a seasonal, unique menu – that celebrates the local land, its produces, story and simplicity: no meat or fish are served, but lots of mountain and wild herbs, veggies, fruit and whole grains are the protagonists of a meal that tastes like home, respect and care.

Sustainable tourism

Dedicated and personal suggestions to get to know the surroundings in a deeper and more thoughtful way are shared everyday: you will not hear about chaotic trails to hike or loud ski resorts to hit at Mia Majon, but rather untold itineraries and corners of forest, ways of being in and with nature that are kinder and more enriching.
There are also special experiences created for those who want to find connection with themselves and the mountains: weekly morning embodiment practices guided in the woods, treatments with essential oils and ayurvedic knowledge, shared circles in the collective spaces of the house and many more spontaneous occasions for encounter and kinship.

Events and gatherings

A space for those who travel as well as for those who live among this land of rock giants: Mia Majon organizes events and gatherings dedicated both to guests and locals and nourishes the community with campaigns, workshops and experiences to belong and get in contact back to the land (and to fight for it).

If you leave your car parked the whole time (or if you don’t travel with one at all) you will get a special something that will celebrate your attentiveness and commitment. Bicycles are so very welcome, especially those who are traversing territories on travel rides.
Mia Majon also is just two minutes away from public transport stops and loves to support guests with information and guidance on how to get there by public transport or use it locally whilst they are among the mountains.
