Finca San Pedro Barichara

Finca San Pedro is an ecological finca 10 minutes from Barichara, located in the unique ecosystem of the tropical dry forest in the Andes. The three guest rooms and our organic farm have been built around the historic old farmhouse.

Native trees and plants grow on our 2 hectare finca. In addition, fruit trees, a vegetable and herb garden are at home here. We grow our products ecologically and sustainably, always keeping respect for the environment in mind.

At Finca San Pedro you will find deceleration, nature, sustainability, good organic food and personal attention.

The stay at San Pedro

Our three rooms convey peace and closeness to nature. Regional materials such as handmade clay tiles, naturally hewn stone, recycled wood and traditional furniture in natural tones complement each other harmoniously with lively colours. The rooms are located in the middle of nature and offer a beautiful view of the Andes or our vegetable gardens.
All rooms are detached with private entrances, have en-suite bathrooms with rain showers and wide corridors with hammocks. The natural adobe walls mean that the rooms always maintain a pleasant temperature.

Reflection on the essentials is the essence of the Finca San Pedro experience. Let the birdsong wake you up, take time for a delicious breakfast with natural products, find quiet corners to read, relax in the hammock and enjoy a treat from our kitchen. Finca San Pedro is our home and we want to share it with you during your stay. We live in close relationship with nature and we invite you to take things easy and relax. Our plant-based cuisine

Our plant-based dishes blend colours, flavours, textures and aromas: enjoy healthy, sustainable, delicious slow food!

At Finca San Pedro we value the organic, the natural and the sustainable. We love to cook. Our cuisine is vegan/vegetarian: healthy, varied and delicious. We produce organic food in our garden and also use products from the region, which we buy at local markets. The shortest way from the producer to the consumer is our motto. Our menu is based on what is available in season.

Breakfast at San Pedro is an awakening of the senses, with fresh ingredients taking centre stage. We serve a three-course breakfast every day with sweet, savoury and hot dishes. Our breakfast menu changes depending on the harvest or local seasonal offerings, but it always includes fresh fruit.
We also offer picnics, lunch and dinner. The abundance of Colombian vegetation coupled with our imagination is our inspiration for this.

There is much to discover

The village of Barichara is part of Colombia’s national heritage and is known as the most beautiful village in Colombia. It is located at 1300 m and has a pleasant temperature all year round.
There are various hiking trails in the surrounding area, Barichara is known for its handicrafts, and the Cañon de Chicamocha awaits with its impressive panorama.
