Nab Cottage Vegan

Nab Cottage is a 100% vegan and dog-friendly B&B located in Bexhill-on-Sea in the county of East Sussex in South East England.
It opened 2019 and has two ensuite rooms available, 1 double and 1 twin.

Vegan breakfast and dinner

Breakfast is included in the room rate. This will consist of cereals, pastries, toast and various cooked dishes from the menu including a full cooked breakfast.
Gluten-free options are always available but it is helpful to let the owner know when booking.

It is possible to order a set 3-course dinner, details of which are written up on the blackboard each day and posted to the Facebook and Instagram pages.

The cottage

The cottage dates back to the 1850s and was originally a farmhouse. Some of the old farmyard walls survive. It has recently been entirely renovated and extended but retains its lovely warm, welcoming character.
There is a large, enclosed garden, perfect for guests and their dogs or children, and there are places nearby to walk your dog.

Surroundings and cultural life

There is something for everyone in this area. Bexhill has a 2-mile long beachfront promenade, a variety of independent shops and galleries, and the famous modernist De La Warr Pavilion.

Nearby towns are Eastbourne and Hastings. There is plenty of lovely countryside to explore in this area with the 1066 route and South Downs Way not far off and many fine country pubs.

There are annual festivals held at Charleston and at Glynde place. The town of Rye is just 30 minutes away and holds an international jazz festival. Glyndebourne Opera is only 40 minutes away. National Trust properties abound and the site of the Battle of Hastings is just 20 minutes away in the town of Battle. So much to explore, including a few steam railways (The Bluebell Line, The Kent and Sussex, and The Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch line).

Due to Covid-19 we will not to reopen until January 2021. Bookings are now being taken for 2021 through the website of Nab Cottage.
