Khem Villas

Khem Villas is a small luxury jungle camp located just outside the Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve in Rajasthan, India.

It has been established on a barren piece of agricultural land that was purchased in 1989 by Dr Goverdhan Singh Rathore, son of the famous Tiger Man of India Mr Fateh Singh Rathore.

The land has been painstakingly developed over the years to create open grasslands, small water bodies and thick forest grooves making it into an extension of the park itself so that guests staying here can experience nature up close. It is not uncommon to see jungle cats, jackals, hyenas, crocodiles and even the occasional tiger in the camp itself. Khem Villas is a birders paradise with nearly 200 different birds been sighted in camp itself.

At Khem Villas you can choose to stay in our exclusive thatched stand alone cottages with private verandah, courtyard and an open air bath tub and shower, or in our luxury tents with their own private sit out and ensuite bathrooms with hot and cold running water. For the budget conscious we also offer 4 standard rooms in the main building. Experience private nature walks around the camp with our guides or on your own. Our prices are inclusive of all meals and taxes.

The family is committed to conservation and is involved in different charities around the park to help conserve the park by providing local people with health care, education, alternate energy and alternate employment opportunities. In its commitment to helping the environment the camp itself uses low energy consumption equipment, maximizes on ground water conservation through active water harvesting, grows as much of its food organically on its own grounds and offers only vegetarian meals.
