Hotel Balance

In Les Granges, about 600 metres above Martigny, the couple Ulrike Eberle-Schatzmann and Roland Eberle renovated a hotel from 1897 and turned it into a place where people can meet and where healthy nutrition is practiced.

The Hotel Balance’s first priority is sustainability. That is why it is built according to bau-biological principles. All of the ingredients used in the kitchen are 100% organic. The organic pool in the garden holds water without chlorine or ozone. Since 2006, about 50% of the used electricity comes from our own Photovoltaic installation.

In the Hotel Balance every room is different and individually furnished with old natural wooden furniture. The staircase and the wooden floor of the 100 year old house are a little bit crooked and give it a unique homey flare.

The Balance kitchen is vegetarian and mostly follows macrobiotic principles.
